Brooke Shields kicked off her week of guest cohosting *Today With Jenna & Friends* on a laugh-filled note.
When Shields and Jenna Bush Hager sat down at the show's desk on Monday morning's episode, the 60-year-old model noticed things were amiss when she was seated significantly lower than her fellow host. "Why am I at the kids' table?" Shields asked as she sat in her white chair, which was visibly several inches shorter than Hager’s chair.
"You guys, something's wrong. Something is very wrong," Hager noted as the two began laughing with their audience.

The *When Calls the Heart* star took the mishap in stride, laughing it off as Hager called for the production crew to rectify the situation. "I get it. It's your show. I get it!" she quipped, joking that she had been given the lower chair in order to ensure she didn't tower over Hager. She even tried to work around the chair's lack of height by tucking her foot under her butt and attempting to sit tall.
"Is this the first time in your whole life you've ever felt not tall?" Hager asked the former supermodel. "Wow, we've never had a chair issue! Let's just see how this feels."
Luckily, before Shields wound up with a cramp in her leg, the production crew stepped in to replace the shorter stool with a new chair for the actress that was the appropriate height.

"That was hilarious. I was like, 'Why am I so much taller?'" Hager admitted. "That moment when I looked over, I was like, 'Something is not right.'"
Shields agreed, joking, "I'm being really difficult, I know. I'm so sorry. I was like, 'Things have changed since I've been here.'"
Shields previously co-hosted the fourth hour of the* Today* show in March, before returning for more episodes in July. Fans have praised the dynamic between Shields and Hager, suggesting the actress stick around as a potential permanent cohost.

Hager has been without a set cohost since her friend Hoda Kotb departed *Today* in January to spend more time with her kids.
Kotb was a longtime staple of the morning show, having spent 17 years on *Today* and a grand total of 26 years working for NBC. She announced her departure in 2024, explaining that the decision was due to a desire to be there for her young kids and focus on her new wellness business venture, Joy 101.

"What's so cool about it is that it really does feel like we're pulling up chairs for all different types of people," Hager told PEOPLE of her rotating guests of cohosts in January. "Yes, we have actors, but we also have comedians and people in media. And I think that really is what we're hoping to have: a total representation of who watches our show and something for every viewer."
*Today With Jenna & Friends* airs in the morning show's fourth hour at 10 a.m. ET/PT on NBC and streams on Peacock.**
