When megastars get engaged, their rings have mega wattage.

Many of the wealthiest celebrities in the world don't hold back when it comes to showering their partners with forever jewels. When Travis Kelce, Colin Jost and Jay-Z popped the question to their equally successful counterparts Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson and Beyoncé, respectively, they went big, whipping out some of the most expensive, shiniest gems around.

They're not alone — Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and soccer pro Cristiano Ronaldo proposed with baubles that could practically be seen from outer space. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Taylor's ring from Richard Burton was so showstopping that it was renamed after her.

From Johansson's unique $400,000 pear-shaped diamond to Beyoncé's $5 million emerald-cut sparkler, here are some of the most enormous celebrity engagement rings of all time.

The pair announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram in August 2025. The singer showcased the luxe ring, designed by Kelce in collaboration with Kindred Lubeck and Artifex Fine Jewelry.

The sparkler features a massive old mine-cut diamond and a rectangular cut with antique references. The ring is estimated to be worth up to $5 million.

Originally called the Krupp diamond, the stunner was later designated the Elizabeth Taylor diamond. After the late Hollywood legend's death in March 2011, the rock was purchased by the South Korean conglomerate E-Land group for $8.8 million.

When they rekindled their relationship and decided to walk down the aisle again, Affleck managed to top himself with an even rarer stone: an enormous green diamond that Lopez described as "my lucky color."

The $400,000 design, reported to be a design by James Taffin de Givenchy (via Instagram), consisted of a pear-shaped light brown diamond mounted above a curved ceramic black band and checked in at 11 carats. Jost and Johansson got engaged after dating for two years and said "I do" in October 2020.

Ryan Reynolds proposed to Blake Lively with a 12-carat pink oval-cut diamond. The one-of-a-kind bling, estimated at $2 million, features rose gold accents and a double diamond-encrusted band.

Though the couple has kept tight-lipped about their engagement and secret September 2012 wedding, Lively has given fans glimpses of her ring over the years, including for the first time one month after her nuptials.

"My most treasured possession is my engagement ring by my dear friend Lorraine Schwartz, because of the love and meaning it symbolizes," she told British Vogue in May 2015. "No, I didn't have any hand in its design — I married a gentleman."

Though they finalized their divorce in November 2022, while still together, Kanye West was so determined to put Kim Kardashian in the engagement ring hall of fame that he topped his original 15-carat offering from 2013 with an even bigger one a few years later.

During a visit to Radio Andy, Kim, who married West in Florence, Italy, in May 2014, shared that the "Heartless" rapper woke her in the middle of the night with "something from Adidas." It turned out to be a box containing a 20-carat emerald-cut diamond ring with the word "adidas" engraved inside, which West bought after signing a deal with the brand. Unfortunately, that ring was stolen when the SKIMS founder was robbed in Paris in October 2016.

Back in May 2011, Kim also received a 20.5-carat sparkler with special inscriptions from Kris Humphries, whom she was famously married to for 72 days. All three rings were designed by Schwartz, the Kardashian-Jenner family's longtime go-to jeweler.

"I took the standards super high, and I wanted to create a ring that could not be measured up to," the designer told Vogue after the former couple's engagement in January 2016. "It was about mixing simplicity with volume, which is very difficult to do."

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton's engagement ring was also a piece of royal history — it's the same ring that then-Prince Charles used to propose to Princess Diana in February 1981.

In Kate and Prince William's engagement interview in November 2010, William shared that he "thought it was quite nice" to give his bride-to-be his late mother's engagement ring, as Diana wasn't "going to be around to share in any of the fun and excitement."

"It's very special to me. As Kate's very special to me now, it was right to put the two together,” William told reporters of the bauble.

The 12-carat oval Ceylon sapphire stone is surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds and set on an 18-karat white gold band. The royals tied the knot in London on April 29, 2011.

Travis Barker was "hands-on" when it came to designing the ring he gave to Kourtney Kardashian. (The Blink-182 drummer popped the question on Oct. 17, 2021.) Schwartz told PEOPLE it was "a flawless, beautifully cut diamond stone."

"I worked on it with Travis, and he was a really big part of it," the celebrity jeweler said, adding, "It's gorgeous, and they're happy."

The custom oval diamond was estimated to be 10 to 12 carats, per Brides. Kourtney and Barker wed at a Las Vegas chapel in April 2022, then married again with a larger soiree in Italy in front of family and friends that May.
